The use of poison in rat control is dangerous for your family and pets.
Rely on our trusted natural solution rat trap.
Rats carry diseases such as hantavirus and salmonellosis.
Minimize these risks with effective control.
1. Tension the trap and remove the protective cap
To set the Rat Trap PRO SuperCat, simply depress the lever to open the jaws and remove the protective cap from the bait.
2. Set trap
Rats travel mostly along the bottoms of walls and seldom cross into open spaces. So place the trap against a wall with its open jaws pointing towards the wall.
3. Dispose the rat
For easy no-touch disposal of a dead rat, hold the trap with its jaws pointing downwards over a waste receptacle and depress the flap at the back of the trap to open the jaws: the carcass will drop into the receptacle. The Rat Trap PRO SuperCat can then be used again right away.

The bait attracts the rats and is made from the long-lasting food ingredient peanut butter, which has an irresistible attraction for rodents. The bait contains no toxins. As soon as the rat activates the smart trigger mechanism, the trap snaps with enormous force and kills the rat quickly and reliably in a species-appropriate manner.
Gloves should always be worn when working with traps. It's not about the human smell on the traps. Rats and mice that live in and around buildings are not afraid of human smells. Wearing protective gloves is important for hygienic reasons. Mice and rats, whether dead or alive, can transmit dangerous pathogens through contact with fur or body fluids. Gloves protect against infection.
Yes, we offer replacement bait syringes which will extend the life of the trap for multiple use, after all of the bait has disappeared.
No, the bait is a natural food based product containing no poisons and is safe around children and pets. The bait contains nuts and nut allergy sufferers should be cautious.
The SuperCat traps are very robust and can be used many times.
The attraction of the bait is only 1-2 meters. Place the traps where the rats really run or where rat tracks can be seen (excrement pellets, gnawing marks). Rats run mostly along walls, rarely across open spaces. Always place the traps on the side of walls or in corners, not in the middle of the room.
Rats often wander back and forth between indoors and outdoors. Therefore, setting traps on the outside of the building can speed up the fight.
Check traps set at least once a day. This is important or mandatory for a number of reasons: Dead rats can be disposed of before decomposition begins. In rare cases, rats caught in the trap are not killed immediately, only injured. Then they must be removed. Traps can be re-baited, reset or relocated to better locations as required.
You may have mice too. Mice can eat the rat trap bait without getting caught. Our best advice is to get a mousetrap too.
The Rat Trap PRO SuperCat is safe for children and pets. But for reasons of hygiene, it makes sense to place traps out of the reach of children and pets.
Some animal and mouse species are strictly protected (e.g. in Germany wood mouse, yellow-necked mouse, dormouse, shrews, or bilche, hedgehogs and songbirds). Like house mice, these are attracted to the bait and could be caught with the rat trap. If these species are present or if this becomes apparent during the course of control, no control may be carried out or control that has already started must be stopped. Before any (further) control measures can be taken, permission must first be obtained from the nature conservation authority. Resettlement using live traps must also be approved first.
As long as the bait is sealed with the original cap, it will last for years. After removing the cap, the bait is attractive for weeks to months
