Mole & Vole Claw Trap

Robust, strong snapping trap for field mice and voles

  • Catches on both tunnel sides
  • Easy to set up with to the placement plates
  • Weather resistant, made of galvanized metal

The vole claw trap is equipped with a clever snap mechanism and a bait plate. Stick carrots, celery etc. in this bait sheet to lure voles.

The vole & mole claw trap is set by squeezing the handle.

The trap is placed vertically in the burrow tunnel. When the vole eats the bait attached to the setting plate, the trap is triggered and snaps shut. The two serrated pincers kill the animal on the spot.

This trap should not be used when children or pets are using the garden. The trap can cause serious injury. Your location should therefore always be marked so that no one accidentally enters it.

Since voles and moles are suspicious and pick up the scent of people immediately, you should only handle the traps with gloves so that they remain odorless. It is best to rub the trap with the soil before using it by wanting to poke it.

How to use Mole & Vole Claw Trap

1. Find the pests tunnels.

Insert traps in used tunnels that run as straight as possible and without any branching off. Neatly dig up soil approx. 10cm x 10cm. Remove loose soil from the tunnel.

2. Cut a hole into the tunnel.

To catch voles, clamp a piece of bait (carrot, celery, potato) on the plate (a.). Do not use bait to catch moles. Press the handgrip (b.) together to set the trap and insert the bait plate in the middle of the trap (c.). Finally move the bait plate back and forth and slightly loosen it. This will set the trap for maximum sensitivity.

3. Insert the trap.

Insert the trap carefully into the prepared tunnel opening and cover up again with soil. Usually several voles live in one tunnelling but only one mole.
