How to use the Marten-Stop Vehicle

When installed in the engine compartment, this device will repel martens from the vehicle using a combination of aggressive ultrasound and high-voltage electric shocks.

ULTRASONIC

Ultrasound with a constantly changing frequency of 23 to 27 kHz is emitted via the special loudspeaker in the control unit. This avoids a habituation effect. Martens can hear this ultrasound. Although it does not harm them, it is very unpleasant for them and quickly causes them to flee. Humans cannot hear ultrasound and are not affected in any way by it.

ELECTRIC SHOCK

In the engine compartment, eight stainless steel plates are attached to the areas that are at risk from marten bites (pipes, hoses, pipes, electrical lines and cables). These are charged by the control unit with 300 volts. If a marten touches one of the plates, it will receive a painful but harmless electric shock
